Thomas Partey, the Ghanaian international for Arsenal, has encouraged his team members to remain positive ahead of their upcoming match against Manchester City.
The Gunners are seeking their first Premier League championship since 2003 and will face the defending champions, who are just five points behind, on Wednesday.
After a draw with Southampton last Friday, Partey stressed that his team must approach the Manchester City game with a winning mentality. He stated, “I believe everything is in our hands – we must go [to City] with the mindset to play our football and execute our plans. Ultimately, we must strive to win.”
Partey went on to explain that Arsenal should approach the match as they did at the beginning of the season, and that he is confident they can win if they do so. He was quoted by The Daily Mail as saying, “It’s normal to feel frustrated after Friday’s game because we could have done better. We worked hard all week for that match.”
“We cannot let our spirits drop at this point. We must continue to fight, keep pushing, and eventually, we will achieve better outcomes.”
