Midfielder-gem Gladson Awako has sent a heartwarming message to the fans of Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC following a catastrophic campaign.
The midfield-general has asked the fans of the club to pardon the playing body after a porous display throughout the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League season.
“We understand the agitation and frustration as we the playing body let you guys down when we could do much better than ending it this way.”
“We’re extremely disappointed in ourselves and we can’t wait for the season to start again in order to make amends”, he wrote on social media.
Awako’s season was hampered with unfortunate injuries which kept him out of most of the matches especially in the second round of the 2022-23 campaign.
Hearts of Oak SC finished 12th on the league table after 34 matches of the season finishing with just 46 points and four points above the drop zone.
