Midfielder Pierre Ekwah has praised his teammates for Sunderland’s resounding victory over Southampton in the Championship.
Sunderland on Saturday, September 2, 2023, ended Southampton’s unbeaten run with a 5-0 victory at the Stadium of Light.
The massive victory pushed Sunderland to the 9th position on the league table this marking their second victory of the campaign.
Pierre Ekwah on impressive on the day and capped his performance with two breathtaking goals against the Saint.
The French born with Ghanaian descent was happy with the performance and urged his teammates to continue giving a top notch performance on weekly basis to ensure their qualification to the Premier League.
Ekwah has made rapid progress since his January arrival and produced arguably his best performance yet in the 5-0 win over Southampton.
