The Bantama astroturf has been named after the late New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament, Daniel Okyem Aboagye.
Daniel Okyem Aboagye, a former member of parliament for Bantama died on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) after battling with an illness.
The government as way of honouring the former lawmaker has named the astroturf Owhim Amanfrom after Okyem Aboagye.
This decision was announced by Francis Asenso-Boakye, the current Member of Parliament for Bantama and Minister for Works and Housing, during the inauguration ceremony.
Before his demise, Daniel Okyem Aboagye served as the Bantama Constituency as a one time Member of Parliament from 2017-2021.
