Hearts of Oak coach Martin Koopman has voiced his frustration over the club’s lackluster performance in the ongoing league season.
The once-mighty Ghanaian football team has only clinched one victory in their first five matches, and they’ve scored just one goal despite an impressive pre-season campaign.
This poor start to the season has left many fans concerned, with some even calling for the removal of the coach. Presently, the Phobians find themselves in the relegation zone after five matches, and they still have a pending fixture against Hearts of Lions.
Speaking about the situation, Koopman acknowledged the disappointment felt by the fans, his players, and himself. He expressed hope that in the next game, they can deliver a victory and provide some relief to the supporters.
“For the fans, I know they are sad, I’m also sad, as well as my players, so I hope in the next game I can give them the three points,” the Dutch trainer remarked.
In the upcoming week seven of the Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Oak will be on the road to face Bibiani Goldstars, a challenge that Koopman is determined to confront and overcome at the formidable Dun’s Park.
