Former Ghana international, Dan Qauye, attributes the struggle of players and the poor development of football to social media and betting.
According to the ex-Great Olympics defender, players are excessively focused on their social media presence, leaving little time for personal training to refine what coaches teach.
He identifies betting as a factor that compromises the fairness of football, urging players to steer clear of it and reduce their time spent on social media.
“There is a lack of quality in the system, unlike in our time, but what has spoiled football now is betting and social media. Players don’t do personal training because they will use that time to be on social media,” he conveyed to Accra-based Rainbow Radio.
“They have to limit their time on social media and focus more on their training and concentrate solely on the game, and they must go all out for the supporters because football is for the fans,” he added.
