Bofoakwa fan Seidu Musah, alias Gaswan, has been apprehended by the police in connection with the assault on Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu.
The attack occurred during a football game on November 19, 2023, at the Sunyani Coronation Park. Musah, currently in police custody, is aiding the investigation.
Authorities are actively pursuing the arrest of the other suspect involved in the incident to ensure justice is served.
The former Black Stars coach was beaten by the fans and was left unconscious.
Konadu was rushed to the Sunyani Regional Hospital for medical attention shortly after the attack.
Some members of the playing body and their fans were also assaulted by the home fans. Match officials were also assaulted.
