Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo is brimming with enthusiasm as the kickoff of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) approaches.

The talented forward, who is part of Ghana’s squad for the 34th edition of the continental tournament in Ivory Coast, conveyed his eagerness and assurance to the Ghanaian fans in an interview with the media team of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

In a video shared on the official page of the Black Stars, Semenyo delivered a message to the Ghanaian supporters, promising an exciting journey. “Be patient, be ready for success, and enjoyment, goals, and celebration when we win,” declared the striker, encapsulating the team’s aspirations for triumph and celebration in AFCON 2023.

The Black Stars, currently in Ivory Coast for the tournament, have been diligently preparing for their campaign. Training sessions in Abidjan since Wednesday have been crucial in fine-tuning their strategies and building team cohesion. The national team is set to continue their preparations with training sessions today and tomorrow in anticipation of their opening match against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14.

As Ghana looks forward to making a mark in the prestigious tournament, Semenyo’s words serve as a rallying cry for fans to anticipate not just success but an exhilarating display of goals and celebrations.

The footballing world awaits the kickoff of AFCON 2023, with the promise of exciting performances and memorable moments from players like Antoine Semenyo adding to the anticipation surrounding the Black Stars’ campaign.
