Berekum Chelsea faced another challenge in their quest to regain momentum, settling for a draw against Bechem United in a fiercely contested match on matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League.

At their home ground, the Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea aimed to bounce back from a recent defeat to Nations FC. However, Bechem United presented a formidable opposition, making victory elusive for the Bibires.

The game began with both teams displaying their determination to secure three points. It was Bechem United who struck first, with Emmanuel Annor breaking the deadlock in the 23rd minute, giving the Hunters an early lead as they headed into halftime.

Despite trailing, Berekum Chelsea remained resilient, refusing to concede defeat. Their perseverance paid off when Bechem United’s David Asabere was sent off in the 80th minute, shifting the dynamics of the game in Chelsea’s favor.

With the numerical advantage, Berekum Chelsea intensified their efforts, pressing forward in search of an equalizer. Their persistence eventually paid off as Stephen Amankona found the back of the net in the 85th minute, leveling the score just before full time.

The draw leaves Berekum Chelsea in the 4th position on the Ghana Premier League standings with 34 points, while Bechem United occupies the 5th spot with 33 points, highlighting the close competition between the two teams.

Despite the disappointment of not securing a win, Berekum Chelsea remains in a strong position in the league standings, determined to bounce back stronger in their upcoming fixtures. The draw serves as a reminder of the competitiveness of the league and the importance of every point in the race for the title.

Both teams showcased their resilience and fighting spirit throughout the match, demonstrating the unpredictable nature of football and the excitement it brings to fans across the country.
