Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Afriyie Sabbi played hero for Le Havre AC in the French Ligue 1 clash on the road at Racing Club de Lens with a goal to rescue his team from defeat.
The game kicked off with Przemyslaw Frankowski putting the hosts ahead 1-0 after 58 minutes. But just when it seemed like all hope was lost for Le Havre AC, Sabbi came to the rescue. With nerves of steel, he slotted home an equalizer from the spot in the 77th minute.
Thanks to Sabbi’s goal, Le Havre AC managed to secure a 1-1 draw, salvaging a valuable point from the match. And it’s no surprise that Sabbi is becoming a fan favorite, with five goals under his belt in 23 games in France’s top-flight league.
