Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini played a key role as Derby County came from behind to secure an impressive 3-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers in the English Championship.
The Rams found themselves trailing at Pride Park Stadium after Rúben Rodrigues opened the scoring for Bolton in the 42nd minute, finishing off Gaizka Larrazabal’s cross to give the visitors the advantage before half-time.
Derby responded immediately after the restart, with Fuseini playing an important part in their equaliser just seconds into the second half.
Only 43 seconds after the break, the Ghanaian attacker helped create the opening for Ryan Nyambe, who calmly converted from close range to bring Derby level.
The comeback was completed just three minutes later when Jack Robinson powered home a header from Carlton Morris’ delivery, putting the hosts ahead after a dramatic start to the second period.
Fuseini continued to cause problems for the Bolton defence and came close to adding his name to the scoresheet in the 53rd minute, but his effort was brilliantly denied by goalkeeper Jack Bonham.
The forward remained a constant attacking threat before being substituted in the 90th minute as Derby managed the closing stages of the match.
Rhian Brewster then put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time, scoring Derby’s third goal to seal a valuable three points.
The assist takes Fuseini’s tally to two assists in 10 Championship appearances this season, while he has also contributed one goal, underlining his growing influence in Derby County’s attack.
