Naeem Mohammed played a key role in Halmstads BK’s 4-0 triumph over GAIS in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Saturday afternoon. The Ghanaian striker not only provided an assist but also scored a goal, showcasing his impressive form this season.
The match started with a bang as Villiam Granath gave Halmstads BK an early lead in the first minute with a precise right-footed shot. The team continued to dominate, and Amir Al Ammari extended their advantage in the 34th minute with a stunning left-footed strike from outside the box.
In the second half, Mohammed set up Phil Ofosu-Ayeh for Halmstads BK’s third goal in the 72nd minute. Later, in the dying moments of the match, Mohammed stepped up to convert a penalty in the 96th minute, sealing the 4-0 win. This performance added to his impressive tally of five goals and two assists in 12 games this season.
Thomas Boakye, another Ghanaian player, also contributed by coming on as a substitute in the 80th minute, replacing Villiam Granath.
