Nana Yaw Amponsah and the Samaritan Investment Group have announced their decision to end their collaboration with the Moldovan champions Petrocub Hîncești after a transformative six-month period.

At the beginning of the year, Amponsah, previously the CEO of Asante Kotoko, and his team took the helm at Petrocub Hîncești, guiding the club through a remarkable season. Under Amponsah’s stewardship, Petrocub Hîncești achieved a historic milestone by securing their first Moldovan Premier League title and winning the Moldovan Cup.

Despite these notable successes, the parties involved have decided to terminate their contract. The Samaritan Investment Group released a statement explaining the reasons for this decision, highlighting “unusual activities” within the club and a “mismatch in vision” for its future direction.

The statement detailed, “The decision was made due to the discovery of unusual activities within the club and a mismatch in vision regarding the future sporting direction of the club.” It further emphasized, “As a reputable consortium with a proven track record of success, we take these matters seriously and have entrusted our legal team to investigate and pursue all uncovered irregularities to their legal and ethical conclusions.”

Additionally, the statement addressed the contractual aspects of the separation, asserting, “We state unequivocally that we met all conditions under the agreement as would be revealed with time despite numerous breaches and violations by our partners.”

In conclusion, the Samaritan Investment Group acknowledged the accomplishments achieved during their partnership, expressing their gratitude and wishing the club success moving forward: “We appreciate the achievements made during our partnership and wish the club success in its future endeavors.”
