Asante Kotoko SC are on the verge of acquiring the services of Legon Cities FC defensive midfielder Samuel Tenadu in the ongoing transfer window.
The 21-year-old midfielder impressed in the Ghana Premier League last campaign, making 30 appearances and helping Cities to avoid relegation. His performances have attracted interest from several clubs, but Kotoko is determined to secure his signature for the upcoming season.
Kotoko has parted ways with over 20 players, including midfielder Richmond Lamptey, who joined APR FC in Rwanda. To fill the void, Kotoko has targeted Tenedu, who is highly regarded for his skills and potential.
The club struggled in the recent Ghana Premier League campaign, finishing sixth, and is keen to make a significant impact in the upcoming season. To achieve this, Kotoko has stepped up its efforts to sign quality players, including Tenedu.
So far, Kotoko have secured the services of four players, including two Sudanese internationals. The acquisition of Tenadu would be a significant coup for the club, and negotiations are likely to be intense in the coming days.
