Despite their recent struggles, a Board Member of Hearts of Oak, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has assured fans that the club will soon be competitive again.
The Phobian Club has been threatened with relegation in the last two seasons, but Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe believes that the club is on the right path.
Speaking to JoySports, the former GFA Chairman stated that within the next five years, the club’s standard of football and performances will shock many people. He emphasized that it is a long-term project and that the team is building something that will make fans proud.
”I can assure you that within the next five years, you will not believe (the improvement), the standard of football alone at Hearts of Oak and its performances within and outside Africa will shock a lot of people,” the former GFA Chairman said.
“It is a long-term project and I will tell the supporters that we are building something they will one day be proud of,” he added.
Hearts of Oak have moved their pre-season camp to Asutsuare in the Shai Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region, where they will train for a week before heading to Lome, Togo for the final leg of their pre-season.
The team is gearing up for their 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, which will begin with a home game against debutant side Basake Holy Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
