The Black Stars of Ghana are poised to begin their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification campaign with a critical match against Angola on September 5th.

This encounter is crucial for Ghana as they strive to secure one of the top two spots in their group, which will guarantee automatic qualification to Africa’s premier football tournament.

Angola’s coach, Pedro Goncalves, has acknowledged the formidable challenge posed by the Black Stars, particularly highlighting their impressive midfield and attacking prowess.

“Black Stars have players from top level in the world, but the big names are in the midfield and forward. Mohammed Kudus is one of the best players at the moment for Africa. [There are also] Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey the legend, Inaki Williams.”

With high stakes and significant praise from the opposition, all eyes will be on Ghana as they kick off their quest for AFCON glory with this pivotal qualifier against Angola.
