Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has vowed that the team will learn from their mistakes following their 2-0 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The Gunners were reduced to 10 men after William Saliba received a red card in the 30th minute, which significantly affected their game plan at the Vitality Stadium.
Partey acknowledged the impact of Saliba’s dismissal on the match, noting that it shifted the momentum in Bournemouth’s favor. Reflecting on the defeat, the Ghanaian midfielder stressed the importance of avoiding such errors in future games as Arsenal continues their pursuit of the Premier League title.
“We have to learn from our mistakes and not let them happen again. We are working hard, we are trying to win our duels, and sometimes these things happen,” Partey explained after the match.
He added, “We have to stick together because red cards can happen in games, and we must learn from every mistake. Every time we have 11 players on the pitch, we always dominate the game.”
Despite the loss, Arsenal remains third on the league table with 17 points after eight matches. Liverpool leads the standings with 21 points, while Manchester City is second with 20.
Arsenal will aim to bounce back when they face FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
