Asante Kotoko has officially offered a three-year contract extension to their first-choice goalkeeper, Frederick Asare, as confirmed by Ghanasportspage.com.
The Black Stars shot-stopper, whose current deal runs until August 2025, has been instrumental in Kotoko’s defense since joining from Accra Lions in 2022.
Asare has delivered impressive performances in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, featuring in four matches, keeping three clean sheets, and conceding just one goal. His exceptional form has solidified his reputation as one of the league’s top goalkeepers.
Should the contract extension be finalized, Asare would remain with the Porcupine Warriors until at least 2028, ensuring stability in Kotoko’s goalkeeping department for the foreseeable future.
His commanding presence in goal has been vital to Kotoko’s unbeaten start to the season, and the club is keen to secure his services as they strive for domestic success.
If the deal goes through, Asare will continue to play a pivotal role for Kotoko, contributing experience and stability as they aim for another Ghana Premier League title.
