Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus returned to action on Tuesday night as West Ham United fell to a 3-1 defeat against Leicester City in the English Premier League.

Kudus, who had been serving a five-match suspension following a red card incident during West Ham’s 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in October, was back in the starting lineup for the Week 14 clash. The suspension had sidelined the Black Stars forward for over a month.

In his comeback game, Kudus delivered an impressive performance, earning a solid rating of 7.6 during the 79 minutes he spent on the pitch. Despite his efforts, West Ham could not overcome Leicester City, who were inspired by goals from Jamie Vardy in the first half, and second-half strikes by Bilal El Khannouss and Patson Daka. The win marked a successful debut for Leicester’s new manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy.

West Ham’s lone goal came from substitute Niklas Fullkrug, but it was not enough to change the outcome.

After his return to action, Kudus will be eager to secure more playing time and rediscover his best form in the coming weeks.
