As Arsenal faces the challenge of replacing the dynamic Bukayo Saka, who is set for an extended period on the sidelines due to injury, former player Adrian James Clarke believes that Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus is the perfect candidate to fill the void.

Clarke, a respected figure at the Emirates, has voiced his admiration for Kudus, highlighting his exceptional dribbling skills and ability to carry the ball forward, qualities that he believes make the 23-year-old a perfect fit for Mikel Arteta’s system.

With Saka unavailable for the foreseeable future, the Ghanaian attacking midfielder has become a hot topic in the transfer market, with Arsenal reportedly looking to make a move in the upcoming January window. Clarke, speaking to talkSPORT, has urged his former club to act swiftly and secure the services of Kudus, a player he believes Arsenal have had a long-term interest in.

“Kudus is a player Arsenal have shown consistent interest in. He’s an ideal replacement for Bukayo Saka, someone who can fill that role and contribute up front as well,” Clarke said. “He’s a brilliant dribbler, a wonderful ball carrier. I think he could really complement the attacking play at Arsenal. Could they test West Ham’s resolve with an offer this month? It would make a lot of sense.”

The call from Clarke adds to the growing speculation surrounding Kudus’ future, with multiple clubs, including Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City, reportedly keeping a close eye on the talented playmaker. While the January transfer window looms, it remains uncertain whether Arsenal will formalize their interest or face stiff competition for the West Ham midfielder’s signature.

Kudus, who has impressed since his move from Ajax to West Ham, has been in strong form this season, scoring 3 goals and registering 1 assist in 13 Premier League appearances. His flair, composure in front of goal, and ability to drive the ball forward have made him one of the standout performers for the Hammers this term. In addition to his club success, Kudus has continued to shine on the international stage, earning 34 caps for Ghana and scoring 11 goals for the Black Stars.

If Arsenal does push ahead with a bid for Kudus, they will be getting a player capable of filling the attacking void left by Saka and someone who can contribute immediately. The coming weeks will reveal if Arsenal is ready to make a move for the highly-rated Ghanaian midfielder, or if their rivals will step in to snatch him up first.
