Karela United staged a remarkable comeback to secure a 2-1 victory over Bechem United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday, March 23, 2025.

Determined to boost their survival hopes, Karela aimed for all three points, but it was the visitors who struck first. Emmanuel Abban put Bechem United ahead in the 44th minute, giving the Hunters a well-earned lead just before halftime.

Undeterred, Karela came out stronger in the second half, pressing for an equalizer. Their persistence paid off in the 76th minute when Baba Moro Abdulai found the back of the net to level the score. Five minutes later, Eric Antwi sealed the comeback with a crucial goal, securing a much-needed win for the hosts.

This victory lifts Karela out of the relegation zone, moving them to 15th place with 22 points. Meanwhile, Bechem United, who were chasing a third consecutive win, remain in fifth place with 36 points.

Karela will stay at home for their next fixture against Legon Cities, while Bechem United continue their travels with a clash against Dreams FC.
