Ghanaian defender Ebenezer Annan has clinched his first league title after playing a vital role in FK Crvena Zvezda’s triumph in the Serbian Superliga.
The 22-year-old left-back, who returned to Zvezda in the second half of the season following a productive loan spell at OFK Beograd, has now secured the first major trophy of his professional career.
Annan quickly cemented his place in the team upon his return, delivering impressive performances that earned praise from both supporters and the local media. He featured in 10 league matches for the champions, contributing two assists and one goal, while maintaining an average Sofascore rating of 7.2 over the past year.
Across the 2023/24 season, Annan made a total of 29 appearances, scored once, and recorded six assists—with 19 of those games coming during his stint at OFK Beograd in the first half of the campaign.
Crvena Zvezda’s latest title win—the 36th in the club’s illustrious history—also ensures automatic qualification for the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League.
While Annan did not feature in this season’s European fixtures due to his loan, he is expected to play a role in the upcoming campaign—a long-anticipated personal milestone in his young career.
