Ruben Amorim is said to be a strong admirer of Bournemouth and Ghana winger Antoine Semenyo, with Manchester United also showing increasing interest in the player ahead of the summer transfer window, according to journalist David Ornstein.
The 25-year-old Semenyo has had an impressive season under manager Andoni Iraola, netting eight goals and providing four assists in the Premier League. His versatility and energy have played a major role in Bournemouth’s rise to eighth place, as the team pushes for a potential spot in European competitions.
Beyond his attacking contributions, Semenyo’s defensive work has also stood out. He ranks among Europe’s best wingers in key defensive stats such as blocks, aerial duels, and clearances—qualities that reportedly make him a perfect fit for Amorim’s high-intensity style of play.
David Ornstein reports that Manchester United have already begun discussions with Bournemouth, but signing Semenyo won’t be easy. The club is expected to demand a fee higher than the £65 million they received for Dominic Solanke, especially since Semenyo does not have a release clause in his contract.
With financial limitations at Old Trafford, United may have to sell players before making a formal offer. The club is also monitoring Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, who has a £62.5 million release clause.
