Ghanaian winger Prince Ampem delivered a stellar performance to lead Eyüpspor to a 2-1 victory over Antalyaspor in their final home fixture of the Turkish Super Lig season, held at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium.
Ampem played the entire match and was instrumental in the win, scoring Eyüpspor’s second goal in the 44th minute with a composed left-footed strike from the heart of the penalty area. His goal came shortly after Mame Thiam had opened the scoring in the 40th minute, giving the home side a two-goal cushion heading into halftime.
Eyüpspor controlled much of the game, dominating possession with 59% and creating several clear-cut opportunities. Although Antalyaspor managed to pull one back in the 87th minute through Adolfo Gaich, the hosts stood firm in the closing minutes to secure all three points.
Ampem’s effort marked his fourth goal of the season, capping off a solid campaign in which he made 29 league appearances. The win also marked only Eyüpspor’s second triumph over Antalyaspor in recent meetings, leveling their head-to-head record at two wins each and one draw.
With the victory, Eyüpspor concluded the season in sixth place, finishing with a total of 53 points.
