Accra Hearts of Oak have confirmed the signing of experienced centre-back Ali Mohammed on a two-year deal, with an option to extend for an additional year.

The 29-year-old defender joins the Phobians as a free agent after stints with several Ghana Premier League sides, including AshantiGold SC, Accra Lions, Tamale City, and most recently, Vision FC. Known for his leadership qualities and composure at the back, Ali is expected to bring stability and depth to Hearts’ defence ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The club unveiled the signing on Wednesday morning through its official platforms, highlighting Mohammed’s versatility and experience as key attributes in their ongoing squad rebuild under new head coach Aboubakar Ouattara.

Ali Mohammed is set to play a major role in Hearts’ revival campaign after a disappointing season, with fans hopeful that his presence will solidify the team’s backline and inspire a strong return to form.

This move is part of a broader transfer strategy by Hearts of Oak to strengthen their squad in key areas as they prepare for both domestic and continental competitions.
