Ghana forward Felix Afena-Gyan was the star of the show as Amedspor recorded a convincing 3-0 win over Igdir FK in the Turkish Lig 1.
The Cremonese loanee produced an impressive performance on Sunday, providing two assists to help his team secure all three points at the Diyabakir Stadium. Afena-Gyan was lively throughout the game and caused constant problems for the Igdir defence.
He set up Colombian striker Daniel Moreno for the opening goal, just ten minutes after Amedspor missed a penalty in the first half. Mbaye Diagne had earlier failed to convert from the spot but later made amends by finishing a well-delivered cross from Afena-Gyan in the 56th minute.
With Afena-Gyan continuing to trouble the opposition, head coach Sinan Kaloglu decided to substitute him to keep him fresh, as matches continue to come thick and fast.
Daniel Moreno later scored his second goal of the match to seal a comfortable home victory for Amedspor.
The win keeps Amedspor at the top of the Lig 1 table and strengthens their push for promotion to the Turkish Super Lig.
Afena-Gyan has now been directly involved in four goals after 16 league appearances for Amedspor this season.
