Ghana Premier League leaders Asante Kotoko have reportedly initiated talks to sign prolific Ghanaian striker Elvis Bernard Addae from Niger Premier League side AS FAN, according to local media reports.
The 23-year-old forward, who is currently lighting up the West African football scene, has emerged as a top target for the Porcupine Warriors.
Addae is coming off a sensational 2024/25 campaign where he netted 18 goals, a key contribution in AS FAN’s title-winning season that has secured their place in the current 2025/26 CAF Champions League.
Kotoko, who sit top of the domestic league with 30 points, are looking to add firepower for the second half of the season as they pursue the championship.
The move for Addae represents a statement of intent and would see the young striker return to his homeland to join one of its most prestigious clubs.
While talks are described as being in the initial stages, sources indicate the deal is progressing positively. The potential transfer would significantly bolster Kotoko’s attacking options and could prove to be one of the most significant signings of the January window in Ghanaian football.
