Ghanaian midfielder Hans Nunoo Sarpei has signed a contract extension with SG Barockstadt Fulda-Lehnerz that will keep him at the club until 2028. The new deal shows the club’s trust in his ability and leadership as they continue to build for the future.
The 27-year-old joined the German side last summer and has quickly become an important member of the squad. Since his arrival, Sarpei has made 19 appearances in the Regionalliga. His experience and calm presence in midfield have helped bring balance and stability to the team. Beyond his performances on the pitch, he also plays a strong leadership role in the dressing room, guiding younger players and setting a good example.
Before moving to SG Barockstadt, Sarpei had the chance to compete at a higher level in Germany. He previously played in the Bundesliga, featuring for both VfB Stuttgart and SpVgg Greuther Fürth. In total, he made 10 appearances in the German top flight, gaining valuable experience against some of the best teams in the country.
Football runs in his family. Hans Nunoo Sarpei is the nephew of former Ghana international Hans Adu Sarpei, who represented the Black Stars with pride during his playing days.
