Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have issued an apology to supporters following a series of disappointing performances and confirmed that steps are underway to appoint a substantive head coach.
The club acknowledged that recent results have fallen short of expectations, especially after heavy defeats to and , which have heightened concerns among fans. A 4-0 loss to Medeama and a 2-1 defeat to Samartex have further intensified scrutiny on the team’s direction and performance.
In a statement, the club admitted that supporters’ frustrations are justified, particularly due to the absence of a permanent head coach following the departure of . Management indicated that efforts are ongoing to secure a qualified coach capable of steering the team back to its expected standards.
The club emphasized its commitment to long-term success, stating that, “The board is actively working to appoint a competent substantive head coach whose philosophy aligns with the long-term ambitions of the club. We kindly ask for your patience as we take the necessary time to identify the right candidate.”
