Nations FC have secured a place in the final of the MTN FA Cup after edging past Aduana FC in a tightly contested semi-final encounter on Friday.
The two Ghana Premier League sides faced off at the Swedru Sports Stadium in a match filled with intensity and high stakes. Both teams approached the game with attacking intent, knowing a spot in the final was within reach.
Nations FC made an early statement and took control of the game with a quick breakthrough. Just seven minutes into the first half, winger Emmanuel Annor capitalised on an attacking move to put the Abrankese-based side ahead.
The early goal proved decisive in what turned out to be a closely fought battle. Nations FC continued to look threatening going forward, while Aduana FC struggled to convert their efforts into clear scoring opportunities, particularly after the break.
Despite pushing for an equaliser, Aduana were unable to break down a disciplined Nations FC side, who held firm to protect their slender lead until the final whistle.
With the victory, Nations FC advance to the FA Cup final, where they will meet the winner of the second semi-final clash between Dreams FC and Medeama SC, scheduled for Saturday at the same venue.
