Swedru All Blacks head coach Kasim Mingle has described his side’s comeback victory over Vision FC as a significant boost in their fight against relegation.
The visitors showed resilience to overturn a deficit and secure all three points in their Matchday 31 encounter at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Vision FC took the lead shortly after the restart, with Faruk Mohammed breaking the deadlock five minutes into the second half. However, Swedru All Blacks responded strongly, with goals from Rudolf Mensah and Zayat Bubakari turning the game around to seal a vital victory.
Speaking after the match, Mingle emphasized the importance of the result, noting that it has lifted the team’s confidence as they battle to avoid the drop.
“This win means a lot to us. It has really boosted our confidence heading into the remaining four games of the season,” he said.
“The players were a bit anxious because of our position on the league table, but this result has put us in a better position to fight relegation. It will give the team the belief and confidence to approach the rest of the matches positively.”
The result sees Swedru All Blacks move level on 38 points with Vision FC, while the defeat brings an end to the hosts’ five-match unbeaten run and marks only their second home loss of the season at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
