Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the 2025/26 Premier League Player of the Season award following an outstanding campaign that has firmly established him among the league’s top performers.
The 25-year-old forward impressed consistently across the season, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in 35 Premier League appearances, showcasing his growing influence in English football.
Semenyo began the campaign in excellent form at AFC Bournemouth, where his pace, strength, and direct attacking style made him one of the most dangerous forwards in the competition. His performances attracted widespread attention before securing a high-profile January move to Manchester City.
After joining the reigning champions, he quickly adapted to Pep Guardiola’s tactical system and became an important figure in the squad. Despite arriving mid-season, he delivered several decisive performances that contributed to City’s title challenge.
One of his standout moments came in February when he registered three goals and an assist in just five league matches, a run that earned him the EA SPORTS Premier League Player of the Month award.
His versatility has also been a key strength, with the Ghanaian international operating effectively across multiple attacking roles, including both wings, central attack, and deeper positions when required.
The nomination marks another major milestone in Semenyo’s rising career, with his performances continuing to earn admiration and further strengthening his reputation as one of Ghana’s leading football exports in Europe.
