Asante Kotoko’s Director of Football, Stanley Menzo, has officially begun work with the club after holding his first meeting with the playing body and interim head coach Hamzah Obeng, outlining a renewed vision aimed at restoring the Porcupine Warriors to the summit of Ghanaian and African football.

The meeting served as an important introduction between Mr. Menzo and the players, providing an opportunity for both parties to familiarize themselves and establish a foundation for future collaboration. The session marked the beginning of a new chapter for the club as management continues efforts to strengthen the team both on and off the pitch.

During the engagement, Mr. Menzo shared his strategic plans for the club and highlighted the direction he intends to take as Director of Football. He emphasized the need for commitment, discipline, professionalism, and a collective desire to achieve success, stressing that every member of the team has a crucial role to play in the club’s rebuilding process.

The former football star outlined his ambition to help return Asante Kotoko to its traditional position as one of the most dominant clubs in Ghana and on the African continent. He encouraged the players to embrace the club’s rich history and winning culture while remaining focused on the challenges ahead.

Mr. Menzo further explained that achieving sustained success would require unity among players, technical staff, management, and supporters. He noted that the club’s objectives can only be realized through hard work, dedication, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Interim head coach Hamzah Obeng and the players welcomed the opportunity to engage with the new Director of Football, with the meeting providing a platform for discussions on expectations, team development, and the club’s long-term aspirations.

The gathering is expected to strengthen the relationship between management and the playing body as preparations continue for upcoming competitions. It also signals the club’s determination to implement a clear football philosophy and create an environment capable of delivering consistent results.

With Stanley Menzo now fully settled into his new role, supporters will be hoping that his experience, leadership, and vision can inspire a resurgence for Asante Kotoko and guide the club back to the heights that have defined its illustrious history.
