Italian-Ghanaian forward James Tenkorang has joined Serie D side Sporting Club Trestina for the 2026/27 season, bringing proven attacking output and valuable experience to the squad.
The club described the signing as an important boost up front after his productive spell last season with Orvietana and Real Monterotondo.
Tenkorang arrives with a strong lower-league profile in Italy. After developing in Arminia Bielefeld’s youth system in Germany, he moved to Italy and became a regular presence in Serie D, turning out for clubs including Fano and Livorno. His game has steadily evolved, and last season was the most prolific of his career, with 10 goals and five assists. Trestina believe that consistency in the final third can help them compete more effectively in the coming campaign.
The 2026/27 move also gives Tenkorang a fresh platform to build on that momentum. His arrival should add pace, directness and a reliable threat in the box.
“I’m very happy to be here. Even though I haven’t met everyone in person yet, I’ve already had a great impression of the club, the staff, and my teammates. I can’t wait to get started and give my all for this jersey,” he said.
“The fans should expect a player who always gives his all on the pitch, but I hope to make myself known game after game. I’ll always try to give my best and help the team in any way I can.”
