Reigning Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have reportedly completed the signing of highly-rated midfielder Emmanuel Boateng from Eleven Wonders as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The talented midfielder has agreed a three-year contract with the Tarkwa-based club and is expected to play a key role under head coach Ibrahim Tanko as Medeama prepare to defend their league title and compete in the CAF Champions League.
Boateng arrives as the club’s replacement for influential midfielder Salim Adams, who is set to complete a move to Sudanese giants Al Hilal after emerging as one of Medeama’s standout performers.
The acquisition of Boateng forms part of an ambitious recruitment drive by the Mauve and Yellow, who have been active in the transfer market as they build a squad capable of competing on both the domestic and continental fronts.
The former Eleven Wonders midfielder joins a growing list of new arrivals at the club, including defensive midfielder Etse Dogli, attacker Dominic Amponsah, and experienced Sudan international goalkeeper Monged El Neel Abuzaid Salman.
While Medeama continue to strengthen, the club has also sanctioned the departure of defender Derrick Fordjour, who has completed a move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.
With several quality additions already secured, Medeama are sending a strong message to their rivals ahead of the new campaign as they seek to retain the Ghana Premier League title and make a significant impact in Africa’s elite club competition.
Head coach Ibrahim Tanko is expected to assemble his squad in the coming days as pre-season preparations begin before the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, which kicks off in September.
