French champions Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly joined the growing list of clubs interested in Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki as uncertainty continues to surround the club’s goalkeeping options ahead of the new season.
According to Sky Italy, PSG are closely monitoring the 23-year-old Japan international as they evaluate potential alternatives amid doubts over the long-term future of Lucas Chevalier at the Parc des Princes.
Chevalier joined the Ligue 1 giants from Lille last summer in a deal reportedly worth around £34 million, but the French champions are already exploring other options between the posts.
Suzuki, who is of Ghanaian descent through his father, has enjoyed a meteoric rise in European football since joining Parma. His performances during the 2026 FIFA World Cup further enhanced his reputation, attracting attention from several of Europe’s top clubs.
PSG are not alone in the race for the highly rated shot-stopper. Italian giants Juventus have also been tracking Suzuki after identifying him as a potential alternative to Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez.
However, Juventus’ pursuit of the Argentine has reportedly stalled, with negotiations failing to progress because of a gap in the two clubs’ valuation of the World Cup-winning goalkeeper.
Aston Villa could also emerge as contenders for Suzuki should Martínez leave Villa Park during the current transfer window, adding another heavyweight club to the race for his signature.
With interest continuing to grow from across Europe, Suzuki has become one of the continent’s most sought-after young goalkeepers. PSG’s entry into the race is expected to intensify competition as clubs seek to secure the services of one of the game’s brightest goalkeeping prospects ahead of the new campaign.
