Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah has returned to Saudi Arabian club Al Riyadh ahead of the 2026/27 season, bringing a wealth of experience to the squad.
The 31-year-old attacking midfielder previously represented Al Riyadh during the 2024/25 campaign, scoring five goals in 29 league appearances before spending last season with fellow Saudi side Al-Nasr.
Mensah has enjoyed an impressive career across Europe and the Middle East, having previously featured for Kayserispor and Beşiktaş in Turkey.
He also enjoyed a prolific spell with Al-Tai during the 2023/24 season, scoring 14 league goals and establishing himself as one of the club’s key attacking players.
Known for his technical ability, creativity, powerful shooting and experience in midfield, Mensah will be expected to play an influential role as Al Riyadh prepare for the new Saudi season.
His return gives the club a proven performer who already understands the league and the demands of Saudi Arabian football.
