Coventry City manager Frank Lampard believes Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi has all the qualities to enjoy a successful career after an eye-catching debut for the Sky Blues.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian impressed in Coventry City’s 2-0 pre-season victory over French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, producing a composed performance that caught the attention of his manager.
Lampard was full of praise for the young midfielder after the match, expressing confidence in his long-term potential.
“He’s going to have a big career,” Lampard said.
Yirenkyi, who recently joined Coventry City, showcased his composure, technical ability and maturity in midfield during his first appearance, underlining why the Championship club invested in the highly-rated Ghanaian talent.
