Ghanaian striker Albert Amoah has completed a permanent move to Saudi First Division League side Hajer FC from Libyan giants Al-Ahly ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 24-year-old centre-forward officially sealed the transfer on August 14, 2026, bringing an end to his stint with the Libyan club and embarking on a new challenge in Saudi Arabia.
Amoah joined Al-Ahly from Asante Kotoko in October 2025 before returning to the Porcupine Warriors on loan in January 2026. He rejoined the Libyan outfit at the end of June before securing his latest move to Hajer.
The powerful striker began his rise in Ghana with Great Olympics before earning a move to Asante Kotoko in July 2024, where he established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players.
During his time in the Ghana Premier League, Amoah scored 22 goals in 56 appearances, while also netting two goals in four CAF Confederation Cup matches. He also featured five times in the Libyan Premier League for Al-Ahly.
Known for his physical presence, aerial strength and clinical finishing, Amoah is expected to bolster Hajer’s attack as the club targets a strong campaign in the Saudi First Division League.
At 24 years old, the Ghanaian forward now adds Saudi Arabia to a career that has already taken him through Ghana and Libya, and he will be aiming to continue his goalscoring form in his new surroundings.
