Former Asante Kotoko defender Zackaria Fuseini has completed a return to Berekum Chelsea after signing a two-year contract with the Ghana Premier League club.
The 28-year-old centre-back rejoins the Bibires just one year after leaving the club for the Porcupine Warriors, where he signed a three-year deal last summer.
Fuseini struggled to establish himself at Kotoko, making only 14 appearances across all competitions during his spell in Kumasi before securing a move back to Berekum Chelsea despite having time remaining on his contract.
The experienced defender previously captained Berekum Chelsea before his move to Kotoko and returns to a familiar environment where he is expected to provide leadership and stability in defence.
A former Black Meteors defender, Fuseini brings over a decade of Ghana Premier League experience, having made 146 top-flight appearances, scoring six goals and providing one assist during his career.
His return is seen as a major boost for Berekum Chelsea as they prepare for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season and aim to compete strongly.
Interestingly, Fuseini could face his former club immediately, as Berekum Chelsea are scheduled to open their league campaign against Asante Kotoko, setting up a potential reunion with the Porcupine Warriors.
