Ghanaian midfielder Michael Agbekpornu has completed a move to Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca after leaving Spanish side SD Huesca as a free agent.
The 27-year-old, who was born in Accra, joined Raja Casablanca on August 22, 2026, signing a contract that will keep him at the Botola Pro Inwi club until June 30, 2029.
Agbekpornu operates in central midfield and is known for his physical presence, standing at 1.88 metres. The right-footed midfielder has built considerable experience across European football, having played in Spain, Croatia and Albania.
His spell with Huesca began in February 2026 after he moved from Croatian club Slaven Belupo in a deal reportedly worth €150,000.
He made 10 appearances in Spain’s LaLiga2 before departing for Morocco.
Prior to joining Huesca, Agbekpornu spent two seasons with Slaven Belupo after arriving from Albanian side KF Egnatia in July 2023.
During his time in Croatia, he made 63 appearances in the SuperSport HNL, scoring one goal and providing seven assists.
His earlier spell with Egnatia was also successful, as he helped the club win the Albanian Cup during the 2022/23 campaign. He made 49 appearances in Albania’s top flight, scoring once and registering one assist.
Agbekpornu began his career in Ghana with Dreams FC before making the move to European football.
His career record also includes 25 Premier League appearances, as well as appearances in the Albanian Cup and Croatian domestic cup competitions.
The midfielder joins Raja with a reported market value of €300,000 and will now compete in Morocco’s top division as the club strengthens its midfield options.
The move represents another chapter in Agbekpornu’s European career and gives him an opportunity to establish himself in Moroccan football after a brief spell in Spain.
His contract with Raja Casablanca runs until June 2029.
