Alidu Labaran has made history at just 17 years old by becoming the youngest captain in the Ghana Premier League.
The Vision FC left-back has been trusted with the captain’s armband at an age when most players are still trying to establish themselves in senior football.
His appointment reflects the maturity, confidence and leadership qualities he has shown despite his young age.
Labaran’s achievement is another exciting sign of the talent emerging in Ghanaian football, with the teenage defender now carrying the responsibility of leading his team on the biggest domestic stage.
