Ghanaian defender Abdul Mumin has officially begun a new chapter of his career after making his debut for Girona FC in their 2-0 victory over Sporting Gijón.
Mumin was introduced in the 78th minute, coming on to help Girona manage the closing stages of the game after the Spanish side had established a comfortable two-goal advantage.
The appearance marked the Ghana international’s first outing in Girona colours, giving him an opportunity to take his first steps with his new club and begin adapting to his teammates and the demands of his new environment.
For Mumin, the debut represents an important milestone as he looks to establish himself as a key member of Girona’s defensive setup. His experience, physical strength and defensive qualities could prove valuable as the season progresses.
The Ghanaian will now be hoping to build on this first appearance, earn more playing time and gradually become a regular presence in the Girona backline.
A clean start, a winning debut and a new journey underway for Abdul Mumin in Spain.
