Ghanaian winger Vincent Klu Adjei has completed a season-long loan move to Austrian Bundesliga side Austria Wien from Swiss club FC Basel.
The 18-year-old attacker joins the Austrian club as part of his continued development, with the move expected to provide him with valuable first-team experience at a higher level.
Klu Adjei only joined Basel from Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea during the summer transfer window, making the switch to Europe after impressing with his talent and potential.
The highly-rated winger is regarded as one of Ghana’s promising young attacking prospects, known for his pace, creativity and ability to operate on either flank.
Austria Wien will provide the teenager with an opportunity to gain regular competitive football as he adapts to European football and continues his progression.
The loan move is also part of Basel’s strategy to ensure Klu Adjei gets consistent senior-level exposure before returning to Switzerland to compete for a place in their first-team setup.
