Ghana captain André Ayew has donated an undisclosed amount of money to the national amputee football team to support the players in their preparations for the 2026 Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico.
Speaking to the media, Ayew expressed his support for the team and revealed that his younger brother, Jordan Ayew, was also wishing the players well ahead of the global tournament.
“My younger brother Jordan Ayew says he’s also wishing you good luck,” André Ayew said.
The donation is expected to provide additional support to the team as they prepare to represent Ghana on the international stage, with the players aiming to make the country proud at the competition.
Ayew’s gesture highlights his support for Ghanaian football beyond the traditional game, offering encouragement to the national amputee team as they prepare for the challenge in Mexico.
The team will look to draw inspiration from the goodwill message and support as they work towards delivering a strong performance at the 2026 World Cup.
