Ampem Darkoa Ladies began their 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League campaign in impressive fashion after recording a commanding 5-1 victory over Mali’s USFAS Bamako in their Group B opening match.
The Ghanaian champions recovered from an early setback to secure the emphatic win, with Angelina Yeboah scoring twice, while Patricia Agyei, Belina Nyarko and Nancy Amoh also got on the scoresheet.
USFAS Bamako took the lead in the 10th minute through Oumou Koné, but Ampem Darkoa responded in the 27th minute when Yeboah converted a pass from Amoh to restore parity. Agyei completed the comeback three minutes later with the second goal.
Amoh thought she had extended the advantage in the 55th minute, but her effort was ruled out for offside. Yeboah eventually grabbed her second goal in the 78th minute before Nyarko added the fourth four minutes later.
Amoh then capped an outstanding team performance by scoring in the fourth minute of stoppage time to seal the comprehensive 5-1 victory.
The result gives Ampem Darkoa a strong start to their Group B campaign as they continue their pursuit of a place in the semi-finals of the competition.
