Ghana defender Alexander Djiku is ‘sad’ that he could not travel to join his Black Stars teammates for the 2021 Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
The Strasbourg top centre-back was omitted from Charles Akonnor’s 29-man squad for the two games due to injury concern
Ghana will play the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Thursday at the FNB Stadium on matchday 5 of the Cup of NATIONS qualifiers before they return home on Sunday to host Sao Tome in the final game at the Accra Sports Stadium.
”Sad not to be with my Black Stars brothers now, but I give you all my strength @ghanafaofficial #AFCON,” Djiku posted on Twitter.
