Ghana international, Thomas, has described the recently ended Premier League season as one that was full of ”ups and downs” after his side Arsenal failed to lift the title, losing it to Manchester City.
The Gunners stayed on top of the table for 247 days, and fans were convinced that they were going all the way to lift the Premier League trophy.
However, things slipped up during the second half of the season as Manchester City surpassed them to win the 22/23 season.
For Arsenal, they were unable to maintain their consistency throughout the 2022/2023 season costing them the title they desired so much.
Throughout the year, they struggled with periods of inconsistency and were unable to put together a steady winning run. They had disappointing slumps that hampered their overall momentum and were balanced with periods of exceptional form.
The Gunners were unable to deliver the necessary performances on a continuous basis in critical matches against direct competitors for the league crown. As a consequence, they lost points in those matches, which ultimately cost them the Premier League title.
And Partey, who was one of the club’s to performers during the season, has assured the club’s fans of a better next in the 2023/24 campaign.
“It’s been a season with ups and downs, and I am grateful for all the support received. Your encouragements means everything to us,” Partey wrote on Instagram.
He added that: “We will come back stronger next season.”
