Ghana forward Kamaldeen Sulemana says the Black Stars’ 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament exit is a very tough experience in with so many learning curve.
The Stade Rennais attacker, who was making his debut at the tournament, admits he failed to meet expectations but accepts that a lot has been learnt.
Ghana were shockingly knocked out of AFCON 2021 at the group stage, after losing its final group game to Comoros.
Ghana shambolically exited the tournament without winning a single game.
“My first dance at Afcon started on the wrong foot with performances as a team beyond embarrassing but very grateful for my debut in this prestigious tournament,” Sulemana wrote on Instagram.
“A very tough experience with so many learning curves. Things didn’t go as planned and we have ourselves to blame as a team.
Sincere apologies. No excuse or apology is enough for Ghana deserves better. Giving up is never an option, we will be back and I mean we will back!
“Thank you for the unrivalled support & kind messages.”
