Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has earned well-deserved recognition after being named the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month winner for February, further underlining his growing influence at Leicester City F.C..

The exciting young forward, known for his pace, flair, and eye for goal, produced a moment of brilliance that stood out among the best strikes in the league during the month. His award-winning goal not only showcased his individual quality but also highlighted his importance to Leicester City’s attacking play.

Speaking after receiving the award, Issahaku expressed both gratitude and determination, emphasizing that while the recognition is encouraging, his focus remains firmly on helping the team improve their position.

“Winning this award gives me confidence and makes me want to do more for the team,” he said. “It is hard to get too happy about it, though, as I want us to be in a better position than we are.”
His comments reflect a mature mindset beyond his years — a player who values team success over individual accolades.

Despite his personal achievement, Issahaku is clearly aware of the bigger picture, with Leicester City aiming to finish the season strongly and secure their status in the highly competitive Championship.
The Ghana international also reiterated his commitment to contributing consistently in attack, whether through goals or assists.
“I always try to score and give assists, so it is nice when your hard work pays off.

Everything we do on the pitch is to win, so we need to do better and keep working hard between now and the end of the season to make sure we stay in this league,” he added.

Since joining Leicester City, Issahaku has steadily grown into one of the team’s most exciting attacking outlets. His ability to take on defenders, create chances, and deliver in key moments has made him a fan favorite and a crucial part of the squad.
This latest accolade serves as a reward for his hard work and consistency, but also as a sign of even greater things to come. With his confidence boosted and his focus firmly on team success, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will be looking to play a decisive role in Leicester City F.C.’s push to climb the table in the final stretch of the season
